Fussy Pooch Approved Snacks

Rita started Sparky Snacks... a business inspired by her special dog Sparky.  Her newest member to the family, Max, also has some treats named after him.

What has your dog inspired you to do?

Exercise more?
Play more?
Get involved with dog organizations?
Volunteer together at a hospital?
Write a book about your furry friend?

Rita's dog Sparky inspired her to start a business, making healthy dog treats he could eat while undergoing treatment for cancer.

With extensive research, and taste testing, she created some recipes that were healthy, Sparky loved, didn't upset his tummy, and that every other dog who tried the treats, loved them as well. Her PAWducts are all healthy and natural ingredients and dog approved.

You can listen to PAWsitive Radio now and hear Rita talk more about the PAWducts, Sparky's story, the events she is involved with and the types of ingredients she uses for her fussy pooch approved treats.

Kaytie has been training dogs since she was a teenager under the tutelage of her mother, an experienced dog trainer and show judge.  Kaytie opened K9 Awareness Centre in 2009.  She has helped hundreds of dogs in her dog daycare and training centre. Her dog treadmills are a popular activity for dogs, so much that she has now designed Spot On K9 Treadmills.

Barking Orders

Ryan Cooper is the co-founder of Barking Orders  – a free online resource dedicated to helping reduce the number of abandoned pets on the streets and in shelters because their owners were unprepared or unable to care for them. Through education Barking Orders (The Canine School for Humans) hopes to build awareness in dog owners in a fun and informative way. The services and information they offer will help many families who adopt pets.

Our Toby was a rescue dog, who we adopted when he was five years of age. Learning more about his breed, Chesapeake Bay retriever, helped us help Toby.

Barking Orders was inspired by Jake the dog, and Ryan’s desire to help dogs thrive in their family situations. A recent guest on my PAWsitive Radio show, Ryan shared some great tips for pet families.

Barking Order tips for pet families are:

  1.  Ensure your pet gets enough exercise, and the right type of exercise
  2.  Do your research before adopting, know the breed and choose the breed that is the best fit for your family and lifestyle
  3.   Invest in a seat belt for your pet. Having a seat belt saved Jake’s life.
  4.   Choose a good quality leash, and safe toys, and
  5.  Ensure your dog has a healthy diet and good quality food.
