Toby the dog here....blogging up a storm....

Today mom interviewed two pawtastic guests on PAWsitive Radio

Carlos Cymerman and Elyse Horvath.  Carlos was talking about tips for businesses when recruiting new employees and the importance of having the right employee in the right job.  Carlos also talked about how he has built a charitable side to his business through We Travel for Good.  Mom thought this was awesome!

Elyse talked about the Natural Paws products... mom's used them on me and we love them!  And provided some tips for taking care of your pets outdoors in the summer.  It was a good reminder about how fast our paws heat up on pavement, thanks Elyse!

You can listen to the great information from Elyse and Carlos here:

That's what our family is doing September 2015... our Million Acts of Kindness tour...we're on a mission to make the world a better place through kindness.

Thanks to one of our amazing PAWtners, Carolyn Ellis of Brilliance Mastery created this amazing image of what our tour is all about...

Thanks to the amazing partners, volunteers, sponsors, attendees, exhibitors, and those who cycled to raise funds and awareness.... THANK YOU!!  Together we made a difference.

The Power of Pets, Liva Health and Niagara Region St. Johns' Ambulance Therapy Dog Program... it was great to collaborate with you on this event!

Team Toby - Making PAWsitive Change

Eight local Edmonton businesses join the pack, Team Toby, to sponsor books for children that stay at Ronald McDonald House Edmonton. To kick off this initiative, these eight sponsors provided books for the children attending the Ronald McDonald House Story Book Ball.

Toby was a therapy dog, and while he didn't have the chance to volunteer at Ronald McDonald House... this was on our bucket list.

This is part of the Million Acts of Kindness .... Toby's Global Mission.
You can watch as Charmaine Hammond, author of Toby The Pet Therapy Dog & His Hospital Friends thanks the sponsors for their support, and welcomes them to the pack....Team Toby!

It's a Dog's Life

PAWS for the cause!

Imagine the decision Laura Serra was faced with. Her dog Chloe was hit by a car, and required surgery and treatment totalling $10,000.

Fortunately Laura had the resources to provide Chloe with the medical and veterinarian care she needed, however, many families would not have been able to manage that. Once Chloe was nursed back to health Laura took it upon herself to help other pets and their human families facing similar challenges.

She launched Paws for the Cause, with a team of skilled , passionate and committed members with the same goal in mind. Their extensive fundraising efforts have helped organizations like the OSPCA, University of Guelph Pet Trust Fund, and the Central Toronto Veterinary Referral Clinic.

Laura just awarded a $5000 Paw for the Cause scholarship to a University of Guelph Veterinary student. Pretty impressive for an organization only three years young. This is what happens when you combine passion, opportunity and purpose! Great things happen.

Laura is a real inspiration-  she has turned a near fatal situation into her mission, and in the process she is making a PAWsitive Difference and is Saving Lives!

Her advice to individuals wanting to start a cause, is to first carve out the time needed, second, find the financial resources and the professional expertise, and then just do it!
